Lori Zitelli is an Adjunct Instructor and Clinical Instructor in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She is clinically based at the UPMC Eye & Ear Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, where she contributes to patient care and clinical education in audiology.
Research Interests: Her work focuses on interventional audiology, particularly in the areas of tinnitus, decreased sound tolerance, and amplification. She is committed to improving hearing health care access, especially for aging adults and cancer survivors.
The recent publications reflect a strong clinical and translational focus on hearing aid technology, barriers to care, and rehabilitation in complex patient populations. Her work bridges audiology, gerontology, and oncology survivorship.
