Melissa Hill is an Assistant Professor of Nursing Instruction at Hope College, where she has taught since 2016. Her clinical expertise includes pediatric, obstetric, and family nursing care, with prior teaching experience at Loyola University’s Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. She also works part-time as a nurse in the Special Care Nursery at Holland Hospital since 2017, following clinical roles at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hospital, and Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.

Research and Expertise:
Her focus spans nursing education, development of clinical proficiency tools, and mentorship of novice nurses. She teaches courses such as Health Assessment, Nursing Internship, Maternity and Women’s Health Theory, and Obstetric Nursing Theory, while guiding students through practicums and internships.
