Catherine Baxter

Dr. Catherine Baxter serves as an Assistant Professor at the Presbyterian School of Nursing, Queens University of Charlotte, having joined the faculty as a full-time professor in January 2022.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; a Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University; and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University, which she completed in 2020.

Dr. Baxter is a certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with specialized clinical expertise in pediatric critical care, particularly in cardiac critical care. Her professional experience spans several leading pediatric institutions: Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago (now Lurie Children’s Hospital), Duke University Children’s Hospital, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan Health System, and Levine Children’s Hospital at Atrium Health.
