Melissa Dale is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of San Francisco and serves as Executive Director of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in East Asian History from Georgetown University, an MA in Asian Languages (Chinese) from Stanford University, and a BA in Oriental Languages (Chinese) from UC Berkeley. Her research focuses on late imperial China’s social history, particularly the Qing dynasty court, eunuchs, and the intersection of medicine and gender.
