Shoufu Yin is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of British Columbia, specializing in the intellectual and political cultures of China and Inner Asia from the 11th to 17th centuries. His research extends into global histories of political thought and imagination, with a focus on transcultural exchanges and comparative political theory. He holds a PhD from UC Berkeley (2021) and degrees from institutions including King's College London and the University of Chicago. Current projects include monographs on transnational political rhetoric and Manchu historiography. His teaching spans courses on Qing material cultures, global empires, and the historian’s craft in the digital age.
