Melissa Baird is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Michigan Technological University. She earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and her MA and PhD from the University of Oregon. Her research focuses on critical theory applications in heritage landscapes and conflicted geographies of mining areas.
