Melda Köse is an Assistant Professor at the Department of General Public Law in the Faculty of Law at Maltepe University. She holds a doctorate in Public Law from Marmara University (2015) and a Master's degree from Galatasaray University (2004), where she completed her thesis on "The Comparison of Locke and Hobbes' Property Rights". Her research focuses on General Public Law, with an emphasis on Political Theory, Constitutional Law, and Gender Equality in legal contexts.

- Completed undergraduate studies with honors in Law at Maltepe University (2001)
- Doctoral thesis: "Women in the Context of Constitutional and Political Equality" (Marmara University, 2015)
Köse teaches core courses including State Theory, Political Science, and Political History at the Faculty of Law. She also contributes to the Human Rights Master's program by instructing courses on Human Rights Documents and Protection Mechanisms and Research Methods in Law. She previously served as Department Head and Vice Dean at Maltepe University's Faculty of Law.
