Melanie T. Partow is a Lecturer at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, teaching the Advanced Defending Democracy Clinic and Advanced Civil Rights Litigation Clinic. An experienced civil rights and international human rights litigator, her career spans roles as prosecutor, victims’ advocate, defense attorney, and scholar.
Her educational background includes:

- University of Oxford (M.A. in International Human Rights Law, 2010) with Distinction in International Criminal Law
Ms. Partow specializes in civil rights litigation, international human rights, employment discrimination, labor law, and police misconduct cases. She has secured seven-figure jury verdicts in excessive force litigation and authored multiple published appellate opinions including Beets v. County of Los Angeles (2011), Gonzalez v. City of Anaheim (2014), and Estate of Diaz v. City of Anaheim (2016).
