Melanie Kinskey

Dr. Melanie Kinskey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching, Learning & Culture at Texas A&M University. Her research focuses on socioscientific issues (SSI) in elementary science education, emphasizing inquiry-based lessons that engage students in real-world problem solving and democratic citizenship development. She works with pre- and in-service teachers to design SSI-based curricula that address current events and foster empathy and scientific discourse among students.
