Melanie Garson serves as Associate Professor (Teaching) in the Department of Political Science at University College London's School of Public Policy. She has taught at UCL since 2010, specializing in international conflict resolution and security, with her current flagship course examining the nexus of disruptive technology, innovation, and defense resilience in the digital age. Garson also directs the Political Science Careers Week as Director for Careers & Alumni.
Her academic credentials include a PhD from UCL (2017), a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University's Fletcher School (2000), and a BA (Hons.) in Oriental Studies from Girton College, Cambridge (1996).
