Melanie Dykas

Melanie Dykas is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut’s School of Public Policy and serves as Deputy General Counsel at the Connecticut General Assembly. She holds a B.A. and Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut. Her career spans legal practice, legislative advocacy, and policy development.

Professionally, Dykas has focused on business litigation, earning recognition as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers and “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America. Earlier roles included lobbying during Connecticut’s 2011-2014 legislative sessions and executive assistance in the Division of Criminal Justice, where she shaped legislative proposals and tracked legal impacts.
