Daniel Correa joined the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Law, teaching Legal Writing, Remedies, and Civil Procedure. Prior to this, he served as an Associate Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law, where he taught Legal Research and Writing and Professional Responsibility.

Professor Correa’s scholarly work focuses on procedural and practical integrity in civil litigation, as well as the intersection of political and legal theory, particularly how power concentrates under legal systems and affects democratic governance. His research also explores legal ethics and the implications of judicial decision-making on societal structures.

Before his academic career, Professor Correa practiced business and commercial litigation. He contributed to legal literature by updating volumes on Business Entities, Contracts, and Commercial Law and Litigation, as well as chapters in Dorsaneo’s Texas Litigation Guide. His publications appear in journals such as the Harvard Latino Law Review, Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law, and the University of Texas Review of Litigation.
