Mei-Huei Tang is a Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Computer & Information Science at Gannon University. She teaches courses including Data Structures, Advanced Object-Oriented Techniques, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, and Operating Systems. She serves as Faculty Co-chair for the Committee for Academic Technology and on the Space Utilization Committee.
Her research focuses on software engineering methodologies, swarm intelligence applications, and machine learning systems. Key areas include architectural design patterns, quality assurance frameworks, and educational approaches for software development.
She has supervised multiple student projects such as ErieGains Community Event Board, Gannon Rideshare, One Green World Cafe, and Celebrate Gannon Coordinator platforms, demonstrating applied learning in web development and civic technology solutions.
