Lai Meng Tang

Dr. Lai Meng Tang is an Assistant Professor in Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. He holds a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow, a Master's in Computer, Control & Automation from Nanyang Technological University, and a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

His research focuses on advanced machine learning techniques, particularly in computer vision and image processing. Key areas include generative adversarial networks (GANs), rain removal algorithms, frequency domain analysis, and convolutional autoencoder architectures. Tang's work addresses challenges in image reconstruction, multi-scale processing, and automated systems.

He has published extensively on topics such as W-CycleGANs and MS-CycleGANs for rain removal, cycle-consistent GAN frameworks, and parameterization of neural networks for small image reconstruction. His teaching spans Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Robotics, Control Systems, and Object-Oriented Programming.
