Cheryl Schramm is an Instructor in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University's Faculty of Engineering and Design. She holds an M.Eng from Carleton University and is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
Research Interests: Real-time concurrent distributed programming, embedded systems (including robotics and mobile devices), object-oriented software development, distributed systems, and web applications.
Teaching: She teaches courses such as SYSC-3006 (Computer Organization), COMP 4004 (Software Quality Assurance), SYSC-3303 (Real-Time Concurrent Systems), and others including SYSC-4805/4806 (Computer Systems Design Laboratory/Software Engineering Laboratory), SYSC-2004 (Introduction to Object Orientation), and SYSC-5704 (Elements of Computer Systems).
Past Administrative Roles: Previously served as SCE Program Coordinator, SE Program Coordinator, 4th Year Project Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator, SEDs Creator, Display Board Design Committee Chair, and Tenure & Promotion Committee member.
Initiatives: Founded the Carleton University Robotics Club (2009), led the Carleton University Simulator Project with the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department, and participated in initiatives like the Antarctic Adventure with Students on Ice and App Development for iLearn @ Lisgar.
