Mei French

Mei French is a Lecturer at UniSA Education Futures, University of South Australia, and member of the Centre for Research in Educational and Social Inclusion.

Her research examines multilingual pedagogies in Australian schools and higher education, focusing on how students use languages for identity and learning. Current projects develop bilingual teaching approaches and support teacher action research in oral language.

Publications explore translanguaging as a pedagogical resource and critique monolingual educational paradigms. Recent work emphasizes technological mediation in multilingual classrooms and community-based language practices.

Co-developed 'Using multilingual approaches: moving from theory to practice' resource book. Active in TESOL professional associations and curriculum development for multilingual pedagogies.
