Mehrdad Irannejad is an Adjunct Professor affiliated with the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) at the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Research Interests span Nanotechnology and Materials Science, focusing on Nanofabrication, Optical Engineering for functional nano-materials, Nanophotonics, Quantum Electronics (graphene-based metamaterials), and Plasmonic Sensors for bio/chemical applications.
