Mehmet SOYLEYMEZ is an Associate Professor at Adiyaman University's Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department. He holds a Doctorate in Geological Engineering from Çukurova University (2002) and has been affiliated with institutions like Celal Bayar University and Çukurova University. His research focuses on geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, and structural analysis, with notable projects on soil compaction, geotextile interfaces, and non-destructive testing of cultural heritage structures. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and edited a book on building materials and sustainability. Awards include the Golden Hammer Research Award and a publication incentive award.
Key research areas include soil behavior under varying conditions, rock mechanics, and the application of machine learning in geotechnical modeling. Recent work emphasizes environmental engineering challenges like landfill analysis and material recycling. He has supervised projects on soil bearing capacity mapping and waste utilization in construction.
