Meghan Musy is an Associate Professor of Old Testament at Evangel University, where she contributes to both academic and spiritual formation. She holds a Ph.D. in Christian Theology with an emphasis in Old Testament from McMaster Divinity College, an M.A. in Religious Studies from Missouri State University, and a B.A. in Advertising/Public Relations and Biblical Studies from Evangel University, graduating summa cum laude.
Her research centers on the Psalms, Hebrew lyric poetry, and biblical ethics, drawing from deep theological and literary analysis of the Old Testament. As a scholar in biblical studies, she engages with the historical, linguistic, and ethical dimensions of ancient Hebrew texts, contributing to contemporary theological discourse.
Meghan is an active member of several academic guilds, including the Institute for Biblical Research, Society of Biblical Literature, and Society for Pentecostal Studies, regularly presenting at their annual meetings. Her scholarly work is recognized through awards such as the Orville & Jewel Mills Young Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, Scholarship and Service (2023) and the Principal’s Medal from McMaster Divinity College (2018).
She is also ordained in the Assemblies of God (Potomac Ministry Network) and serves as the Girls Ministries Director for the Potomac Ministry Network, reflecting her commitment to both academic and practical ministry.
