Meghan M. Dunn is an Assistant Professor of Mass Communication and Public Relations at St. John's University, affiliated with the Department of Rhetoric, Communication, and Theatre within the Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from Texas State University, an MA in Communication Studies and Rhetoric from the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in Communication Studies and Rhetoric from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Her research focuses on how marginalized communities use emergent technologies and novel media during disasters, crises, and political upheavals. She co-founded Boulder Relief Co., a grassroots disaster relief nonprofit, and worked with the UN as an Innovation Research Analyst and Information Management Specialist in peacekeeping operations.
Teaching spans courses on public relations writing, crisis communication, digital storytelling, and rhetorical theory. Dunn emphasizes 'Good Faith' communication practices for mission-driven organizations.
