Dr. Megan Robertson is a UKRI Post-doctoral Fellow at the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science, University of Leeds, specializing in intersections of religion, sexuality, gender, and race within African contexts. Her work critically examines power dynamics in religious institutions and explores embodied spirituality through Black queer performance art.

She investigates the entanglement of raced, gendered, and sexed power structures within religious frameworks while exploring religion's relationship with artistic expression.
She holds leadership roles as managing editor of the African Journal of Gender and Religion and co-chair of the Religion and Sexuality Unit in the American Academy of Religion, demonstrating significant scholarly engagement beyond her institutional affiliation.
