Megan Pratt

Megan Pratt is an Associate Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner Track Leader at the Orvis School of Nursing, University of Nevada, Reno. Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Gerontological Specialist (GS-C), she brings over 17 years of community nursing experience. Dr. Pratt maintains active clinical practice providing cardiovascular care and risk reduction for Nevada first responders while volunteering with Nevada Donor Network.

Her educational qualifications include:

• Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioning from University of Nevada, Las Vegas
• Post-Master’s Certificate in Nurse Education from University of Nevada, Reno
• Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University

Dr. Pratt's expertise spans Advanced Practice Nursing with specialized focus on Family Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, and Cardiovascular Nursing. Her clinical work emphasizes risk reduction for first responders, and she actively champions nurse education through program leadership. She participates in local and national advanced practice nursing organizations to advance professional standards.

As track leader and advisor for both Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontology Primary Care programs, Dr. Pratt provides intensive mentorship to nurse practitioner students. Her dedication to student success manifests through close collaboration during academic and clinical training phases, ensuring graduates excel in advanced practice roles.
