Megan Mahowald, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, serves as the Program Director at Marymount University, where she leads initiatives in speech-language pathology and healthcare education. Her work emphasizes inclusive, anti-racist practices and community-centered healthcare solutions, bridging academic excellence with real-world impact.
Her research interests include:
- Advancing cultural competency and diversity in communication sciences
- Interprofessional collaboration in clinical education
- Literacy development and equity for marginalized student populations
- Grant management and sponsored program leadership
Recent publications highlight trends in anti-racism, cultural responsiveness, and interprofessional education within communication sciences and disorders. She has also contributed to grant management best practices and literacy outcomes for Hmong students.
