معرفی
Megan Leila Baker, MD, is a Research Fellow at Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Cantley Lab. Her roles include Research Fellow (2024), Clinical Fellow (2023), Resident (2021), and holds a PhD in Investigative Medicine (expected 2026). She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine (MD, 2018) and the University of Michigan (BS in Biomolecular Science/Neuroscience, 2014).
Her research focuses on kidney diseases, particularly acute kidney injury (AKI), immune-mediated nephropathies, and the application of imaging mass cytometry to study cellular mechanisms in renal pathology. Key interests include drug-induced kidney injury, lymphatic system roles in kidney disease, and clinical outcomes in cirrhosis-associated AKI.
Baker’s work spans translational and clinical studies, with recent emphasis on spatial biology using advanced imaging techniques. Notable contributions include analyzing tubulointerstitial responses in AKI and defining cell identities in kidney biopsies via imaging mass cytometry.
She collaborates with leaders like Lloyd Cantley and F. Perry Wilson, contributing to studies on immune checkpoint inhibitors, NSAID safety in CKD, and personalized AKI management through the Kidney Action Team (KAT-AKI) initiative.
Baker’s lab is located at The Anlyan Center, Yale School of Medicine.
