Megan Lalonde is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Mount Royal University. She holds a MSc from the University of Central Lancashire, a BA from the University of Calgary, and advanced standing as a midwife (ASM) from the Midwives College of Utah. Her current academic role includes teaching and scholarly work while maintaining an active midwifery practice in Calgary since 2013.

Research Focus: Her scholarly work centers on healthcare recordkeeping systems, clinical decision-making processes in midwifery, electronic health record implementation, and patient transfers from non-hospital birth settings. This research bridges theoretical epistemology with practical clinical challenges in maternity care.
Community Engagement: She contributes to the Maternal, Newborn, Child and Youth Standing Committee and advises Ryerson University's International Midwifery Pre-registration Program.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on Pathology, Physical Assessment, Midwifery Foundations, and Emergency Neonatal Care protocols.
