Meg Eppel Gudgeirsson is an Assistant Teaching Professor of History at Santa Clara University's College of Arts and Sciences, specializing in race, religion, gender, and childhood in 19th-century U.S. history. She joined SCU in 2016 and previously taught at UC Berkeley as a visiting lecturer and at Cabrillo College. Her research examines the abolitionist community of Berea and the intersection of education with white supremacy in the U.S. West. She holds a Ph.D. from UC Santa Cruz (2016), an M.A. from UC Irvine (2007), and a B.A. from California State University San Marcos (2003).
