معرفی
Dr. Meg Edwards is a Lecturer in Wildlife Science at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Agriculture and Environmental Science. Her affiliations include the Centre for Applied Climate Sciences and the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Systems. She holds a BAppSc, BAppSc(Hons), and a PhD from Queensland institutions.
Her research focuses on wildlife behavior, conservation strategies, and predator-prey dynamics. Key areas include behavioral ecology, terrestrial ecology, and the application of innovative technologies like microchip-automated systems for wildlife monitoring and conservation. She has pioneered studies on predator avoidance training for species such as bandicoots and phascogales.
Her recent work explores novel methods for predator control and habitat management, including feral cat attraction techniques and safe haven designs for endangered species. She teaches courses like WLF2101 Management of Wildlife and WLF3201 Captive Wildlife Management, integrating field skills and theoretical knowledge.
Dr. Edwards' publications emphasize technological innovations in conservation, predator-prey interactions, and species-specific behavioral adaptations. Her research bridges ecological theory and practical conservation solutions, with a focus on Australia's unique fauna.
