Mead A. Allison

Mead A. Allison is Professor and Chair of the Department of River-Coastal Science and Engineering at Tulane University's School of Science & Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from SUNY Stony Brook, an M.S. from East Carolina University, and a B.S. from the College of William & Mary. His research investigates sediment dynamics in riverine, deltaic, wetland, and continental shelf environments, with a focus on coastal restoration and climate change impacts.

Allison's work employs field observations and numerical modeling to address sediment transport, carbon sequestration, and delta evolution. His publications frequently examine the Mississippi-Atchafalaya River system and Gulf of Mexico coastal processes.
