Md. Shiblur Rahaman

Dr. Md. Shiblur Rahaman is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management at Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh since 2015. He concurrently serves as a Research Scientist for an NIH-funded R01 project at Sam Houston State University’s Department of Public Health in the USA. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Hokkaido University (Japan, 2020), followed by a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship at Jichi Medical University (2021–2022), where he continues as a visiting researcher.

Research Focus: Specializes in environmental health, environmental toxicology, and human health impacts of pollutants. Current projects include health risk assessments of arsenic and iron in drinking water, mechanisms of arsenic-induced vascular dysfunction, and roles of ACE2 and Nrf2 in toxicological pathways. Expertise spans neuroepidemiology, in vitro/in vivo toxicology, and advanced laboratory techniques.
