McKenzie Behrendt

McKenzie Behrendt is an Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's College of Allied Health Professions. She teaches courses on occupation-based practice across the lifespan and foundational human movement concepts.

With clinical experience in diverse rural health settings including home health, NICU, and outpatient care, Dr. Behrendt's research now focuses on educational methodologies. She investigates Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) and professional reasoning development through eLearning strategies.

Her recent work includes developing interactive modules for functional cognition education and designing interprofessional mock examinations to reduce student anxiety. Current projects examine competency assessment in hybrid learning environments.
