Małgorzata Drwal

Małgorzata Drwal is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She holds dual MA degrees in English and Dutch Studies from Wrocław University, and a PhD in Literature from the same institution. Her research focuses on literature and cultural studies of the Low Countries and South Africa, cultural transfer, working-class narratives, and life writing.

Drwal has presented at numerous international conferences, including the 21st Colloquium Neerlandicum (2022) and the 14th ALCS Conference (2022). She coordinates Dutch Studies syllabi and has organized literary translation workshops. Her teaching spans Dutch and English language, literature, and cultural studies.

Recent projects include the NCN-funded 'White South African New Women and cultural mobility in the first half of the 20th century' (2019-2024). She has held guest positions at the University of Pretoria and collaborated with institutions in Poland, South Africa, and Europe.
