Maya Erdelyi-Perez is a Part-Time Lecturer in Animation at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University and Lesley College of Art + Design in Boston. She holds an MFA in Experimental Animation from California Institute of the Arts (2012) and is renowned for her hybrid analog-digital animation techniques.

Her research explores the intersection of myths, memories, and imaginary realms through cut-paper stop-motion, puppetry, collage, and experimental direct-on-film methodologies. Her work incorporates surrealist improvisation techniques to uncover subconscious narratives.
