May Kyi Zay Hta is a Research Fellow at the (Future) Southeast Asian Centre for Workplace Wellbeing, Monash University Malaysia. She holds a PhD in Psychology (Monash University Malaysia), a Master of Professional Counselling (Monash University Malaysia), and a BSc (Hons) Psychology from Sunway University. Her research focuses on wellbeing, mental health, psychological safety, stigma in workplaces, and cross-cultural psychology. She actively bridges academic research with clinical practice as a licensed counsellor in Malaysia and Australia.

Key Contributions: Recent studies include cross-cultural analyses of stigma during pandemics, coping mechanisms among ethnic minorities, and rationality frameworks across societies. Her work aligns with UN SDGs related to education and health equity.
