Maxine Fletcher

Maxine Fletcher is a Senior Lecturer and Head of School at the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology, Oxford Brookes University. She oversees academic programs in Psychology, Social Work, and Public Health, with a focus on professional development in Health and Social Care, and leads university-wide initiatives on Menopause in the Workplace and Menstrual Equity.

Research Interests: Maxine's research explores professional suitability and conduct in pre-registration Health, Allied Health, and Social Work education. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Lancaster University, examining these themes through the Centre for Higher Education Research and Evaluation.

Professional Background: A Registered Social Worker with Social Work England, she has extensive experience in child protection, inter-agency training, and higher education leadership. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an ILM-certified leadership mentor.
