Max Nagel serves as Research Leader at the House of Sustainable Transitions within the Institute for European Studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His academic work spans comparative political economy with focus on migration regimes and financial governance. Current affiliations include Vesalius College and active participation in the Brussels Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Migration and Minorities (BIRMM).
Research interests concentrate on the political economy of migration, financial flows in developing economies, and institutional change.
