Max Lambrecht is a doctoral student and researcher at the University of Hamburg, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences, Department of Biology, and part of the Institute of Marine Ecosystem and Fisheries Sciences. His research focuses on experimental marine zooplankton ecology, particularly trophic interactions in the Elbe estuary and their impact on the carbon cycle.
- Ph.D. candidate since 2023
- Associated with the Research Training Group 2530 (RTG2530): 'Biota-mediated effects on Carbon cycling in Estuaries'
- Active in mesocosm experiments simulating environmental stress responses
His work examines species-specific and community-level reactions to environmental changes, contributing to understanding carbon dynamics in estuarine systems.
Current research highlights interactions between microzooplankton and mesozooplankton under warming scenarios in the River Elbe Estuarine Ecosystem. Collaborations include the Leibniz Centre for Marine Tropical Research (ZMT).
