Dr. Max Khan Hayward is a Senior Lecturer in Ethics and Political Philosophy at the University of Sheffield within the School of History, Philosophy and Digital Humanities. He was previously a Fellow-in-Residence at the Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University (2021-22) and served as an Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University (2017-19). He holds a PhD from Columbia University and a BA/MPhil from the University of Cambridge.

His work also explores historical intersections between British Empiricists (Hume, Smith) and American Pragmatists (James, Dewey).
