Max Hewitt is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Dhaliwal-Reidy School of Accountancy within the University of Arizona. With a Ph.D. from the University of Washington and over twenty years of teaching experience, he has instructed accounting courses at prestigious institutions including Indiana University, University of Washington, University of New South Wales, and Macquarie University. His research focuses on information processing biases in financial analysts, investors, and managers, published in top-tier journals like Contemporary Accounting Research and The Accounting Review.
Max’s work examines forecasting and valuation implications of financial statement information, investor reactions to disaggregated data, and earnings management dynamics. His publications highlight his expertise in earnings persistence, accruals analysis, and investor behavior.
