Maurizio d'Amato

Maurizio d'Amato is an Associate Professor at DICATECh, Politecnico di Bari, specializing in real estate valuation and finance. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Bari and completed a doctoral program in Planning at Politecnico di Bari, focusing on valuation methodologies. Prior to academia, he worked in real estate finance for institutions like Bank of Rome and Mediobanca.

He has held research grants from the Italian National Research Council (CNR) for collaborative projects at the University of Florida (1997–1999) and the University of Alicante (2000). Appointed as a Researcher at Politecnico di Bari in 1999 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2005, he has led significant initiatives including founding the Real Estate Market Observatory at Politecnico di Bari and serving as Scientific Director of the Real Estate Center of the Italian Association of Real Estate Counselors (AICI).

His professional recognitions include Fellowship with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (2004) and certification as a European Valuer (2012). His research and advisory work bridges academic rigor with practical applications in real estate markets.
