معرفی
Maurizio Italian is an Associate Professor at the Department of Structural, Building and Geotechnical Engineering of Politecnico di Torino, and a member of the Interdepartmental Center R3C - Responsible Risk Resilience Center. He holds a Scientific Disciplinary Sector of CEAR-07/A - Construction Techniques, with research focus areas in Civil Engineering and Architecture.
His research interests include reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, crack analysis, bond stress-slip models, and serviceability limit states. Recent publications examine crack propagation mechanisms, shear effects on deformation, and improvements to design codes like Eurocode 2 and fib Model Code 2010.
Key research trends from his articles include mathematical modeling of crack behavior, simplified design methods, and experimental validation of structural theories. These works span Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Concrete Technology, with sub-fields such as bond stress-slip diagrams, crack width bounds, and shear deformation analysis.
He has served as Course Lecturer and Course Collaborator for modules like Structural Design, Experimental Laboratory for Testing and Measurement in Civil Engineering, and Restoration and Integrated Conservation A across multiple academic years. He is also affiliated with the MastrLAB research laboratory.
