Terje Kanstad is a Professor in the Department of Structural Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research and teaching activities focus on structural design of buildings and bridges, fibre reinforced concrete, early age concrete crack assessment, finite element analysis with focus on time-dependent structural systems and material behavior, and deteriorated structures with related design methods.

His industry-focused teaching includes TKT4220 Concrete Structures 2 and specialized post-graduate courses on bridge design, early age crack assessment, and prestressed concrete that he has taught since 2006.
