Maurice (Mo) LaMee is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Theatre Arts at Colorado Mesa University, based in the Moss Performing Arts Center. He has been a faculty member since 2012, teaching acting and directing at all levels.

LaMee's research and professional interests center on theatre arts, with a focus on acting, directing, and new play development. His work bridges academic instruction and professional theatre practice, emphasizing experiential learning and artistic leadership.
His leadership in theatre programming and production reflects a strong commitment to advancing theatrical arts in educational and community settings.

LaMee has advised numerous productions and mentored students through practical theatre training. He led the Creede Repertory Theatre for 12 years, producing over 100 plays, including many original works, and directed premieres at the Aspen Fringe Festival. He also directed the literary program Aspen Words, which includes festivals, workshops, and educational outreach.
He was the Executive and Artistic Director of Creede Repertory Theatre (2000–2012), Director of Aspen Words (2013–2016), and continues to be involved in major theatre festivals, including directing world premieres by acclaimed playwrights.
