Maureen Perry-Jenkins

Maureen Perry-Jenkins is a Professor and Department Chair at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, affiliated with the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. Her research focuses on the intersection of socio-cultural factors—including race, ethnicity, gender, and social class—with mental health and family relationships. She leads the longitudinal Work and Family Transitions Project (WFTP), which investigates how the transition to parenthood and early return to paid employment affect psychological well-being and personal relationships in working-class families.
