Gina Mason

Gina Mason is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, affiliated with the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. She collaborates with Rebecca Spencer to investigate how napping and its physiological aspects influence memory consolidation in infants and young children. Her work bridges sleep research with developmental cognitive neuroscience.

Her research focuses on understanding the neurobiological mechanisms underlying sleep-related memory processes in early human development. This includes examining the role of specific sleep stages (e.g., REM, NREM) and associated physiological markers in supporting learning and memory retention.
