Maureen Gildein is an Assistant Professor of Physical Education at Glenville State University's College of Health Sciences. She holds a B.A. in Health/Physical Education from Glenville State University, a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Gardner Webb University and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, an EdS from Marshall University, and is completing an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Instructional Technology) in Spring 2024.
Her teaching responsibilities include physical/health education methods courses, wellness and health education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She serves as Chair of the Faculty Senate, co-advisor to the Chi Zeta Pi sorority, and holds memberships in the GSU Alumni Council and GSU Foundation Board.
Prior to her academic role, Professor Gildein served as a teacher and principal in North Carolina public schools. Her professional activities emphasize educational leadership and technology integration in curriculum design.
