Elizabeth Schrecengost serves as an Assistant Professor and Co-Chair in the Department of Education at Methodist University, housed within the College of Business, Technology & Professional Studies. Prior to her current role, she was an adjunct professor at Gardner-Webb University's School of Education.
She earned her Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Gardner-Webb University, complemented by an M.Ed. and B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Her research expertise spans Elementary Education, Virtual Learning, Latinx families, and Family Engagement in K-5. In the classroom, she instructs undergraduate courses such as science methods, social studies methods, STREAM for educators, and evaluation of educational growth.
Professionally, Dr. Schrecengost has held diverse roles including teacher assistant, classroom teacher, reading tutor, professional learning specialist, and student teacher supervisor, enriching her academic perspective with practical experience.
