Maureen Bleazby

Professor Maureen Bleazby is a distinguished faculty member at Victoria University's Centre of Policy Studies within the College of Business. She has established herself as a leading expert in computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling with particular focus on the USAGE model of the US economy and GTAP global trade analysis frameworks. Her work has significant policy impact, with models used by US government agencies including the International Trade Commission and Departments of Commerce, Homeland Security, Agriculture and Transportation.

Professor Bleazby's research interests center on economic modeling methodology and policy application. Her work spans several critical economic areas including US economic modeling (USAGE), global trade analysis (GTAP), labor market dynamics, agricultural economics, and financial sector modeling. She has made substantial contributions to understanding the economic impacts of biofuels, immigration policy, terrorism events, and the COVID-19 pandemic through sophisticated CGE frameworks.
