Maude Johansson

Maude Johansson is an Assistant Professor at Linnaeus University's Department of Clinical Psychology within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. Her research focuses on mental health during and after childbirth, particularly postpartum depression, parental stress, and developing supportive interventions for parents. She has held roles including Program Manager for the Psychology Program (2011–2015) and has clinical expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Her teaching includes developmental psychology, infant psychology, and psychodynamic therapy methods. Current research projects include the Eir initiative, an internet-based compassion course for healthcare professionals to address work-related stress. Key contributions include studies on immigrant mothers' postpartum experiences and longitudinal analyses of parental mental health.

Johansson holds a psychology degree from Umeå University (1986) and specialized training in child psychotherapy. She has presented at international conferences such as WAIMH in Rome (2017) and Brisbane (2020), emphasizing parental mental health and child healthcare roles.
