Matthias Gunzer

Matthias Gunzer is a Professor and Department Head of Biospectroscopy at ISAS, as well as Director of the Institute of Experimental Immunology and Imaging at University Hospital Duisburg-Essen. His research focuses on neutrophil biology, immunology, and advanced microscopy techniques for analyzing immune responses. He holds a PhD from Witten/Herdecke University and has held academic roles at institutions including Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research. His work includes developing novel animal models and tools for high-throughput analysis of immune cells.
