Professor Matthias Green is a distinguished Physical Oceanographer at Bangor University's School of Ocean Sciences, holding a Personal Chair since 2019. His career spans over two decades of research on tidal dynamics, ocean circulation, and Earth system interactions across geological time scales. He leads significant research projects including 'Climate conditions of Archaean Earth' and previously directed the 'Milankovitch and Tidal Cycle History (MATCH)' project.
